Rolls Royce constantly strive to create more engaging ways to communicate with their audiences and Goodwood Festival of Speed is no exception. A huge curved video wall, a secret restaurant and bar and a display of their very best cars were all housed on 3000sqm of real block paving!
scope
- Cabling and Distribution to all areas of the stand, including giant video wall, internal restaurant and power to the cars themselves
- Internal lighting including bespoke stem lights for high value artwork
scale
- 125kVA Synchronised Generator sets for guaranteed backed-up power supply
- Variety of cabling and electrical distribution from 200A to 13A to provide socket outlets required across the stand
- Plug and socket downlighters for quick and flexible deployment of contemporary lighting throughout walkways
- Zoned warm lighting behind marquee lighting to provide base light level - reinforced with bespoke picture lights
challenges
- 16A feed required to each of the 7 cars in the middle of the stand which had to be carefully orchestrated with block paving contractor to ensure correct locations were achieved
- Very tight back-of-house area, requiring a great deal of consideration for equipment layout and accessibility
